BINGHAMTON (AP) -- A Binghamton woman has been found guilty of beating her 2-year-old son to death in 2010.

Local media outlets report that a Broome County Court jury on Tuesday convicted 25-year-old Veronica Taft of second-degree murder for killing her son Lyric on Dec. 30, 2010 at their Binghamton apartment.

Her lawyer declined to comment after the verdict.
