A 49-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of a New York City man at a central New York apartment complex last December.
ITHACA (AP) --
Police tell the Ithaca Journal that Gary Lowe of Cortland was also charged Thursday with robbery, conspiracy, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of a firearm. He was sent to the Tompkins County Jail without bail.

Lowe is accused of shooting 25-year-old Francisco Santiago of the Bronx on Dec. 1.

A second man facing murder charges in the slaying, 34-year-old Lawrence Beauford of Ithaca, is currently in a western New York prison for an unrelated robbery.

It couldn't immediately be determined if Lowe had a lawyer.
