CAZENOVIA -- Cazenovia funeral director Brian Tait, 46, was sentenced in Madison County Court on Thursday.
Investigators say Tait subjected a 24-year-old woman to inappropriate physical exams, and told her they were necessary to work at the funeral home. She was an employee at the time.
Tait pled guilty to third degree sexual abuse and child endangerment in July.
Tait was sentenced to one year of conditional discharge for third degree sexual abuse and three years probation for endangering the welfare of a child. He will also have to pay restitution $200 in surcharges and fees. Orders of protection were issued.
Tait is the owner of Tait Funeral Home on Fenner Road in Cazenovia.
