GRANBY -- A Granby man is accused of growing cannabis, selling marijuana, and possessing firearms after previously being convicted of a felony.
The Oswego County Drug Task Force says they arrested Michael Edward Shoults, Sr., 52, following an investigation and the execution of a search warrant. Shoults is accused of possessing several firearms and selling marijuana. Official say he has previously been convicted of a felony.
Officials say Shoults was found with a pistol with the serial number defaced. He is also accused of unlawfully growing cannabis and possessing over 16 ounces of marijuana.
Officials say there are risks associated with selling marijuana and charged Shoults with endangering the welfare of children.
Shoults is charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon and felony criminal possession of marijuana. He is also charged with three misdemeanors: criminal possession of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child, and unlawfully growing cannabis. He was arraigned in the City of Fulton Court and remanded to the Oswego County Public Safety Center in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 secure bond.
