Syracuse Orthopedic Surgeons Seth and Brett Greenky are set for a long weekend in Panama next month, to do joint replacement surgery on needy residents.

Their Operation Walk team, drawn mostly from the SOS practice, includes many repeaters--medical staffers and support people who went to Panama last year.  They did 60 replacements there, and expect to do more in Panama.

Kim Murray is the 'organizer' who takes care of the logistics.  She has already overseen shipping all the equipment, and clearing customs.  The team arrives in early November.

Besides the Panama effort, the doctors will also do joint replacements for needy people in Central New York when they get back.  More information on eligibility and the application process is on the Operation Walk Syracuse website.

And if you check the several links on our website you can see more on last year's efforts.
