ROME -- Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputies have made an arrest in a child sex abuse case they have been building since last summer.
Deputies say Jeffrey A. Strebing was arrested after a lengthy investigation into a sexual assault on a child that happened in Rome.
Strebing was charged with sexual abuse in the first degree.
He was arraigned in Rome City Court on November 2nd and will return to court November 5th.
He is being held without bail in the Oneida County Correctional Facility.
The Oneida County Child Advocacy Center has offered the victim counseling.
