SYRACUSE -- Al Stirpe (D) defeated incumbent Don Miller (R) for the New York State Assembly seat in the 127th District. Stirpe lost the seat to Miller in 2010 and won it back on Tuesday.

Stripe was New York State Assemblyman for the now 127th Assembly District from 2006 to 2010. He lost the seat to Miller in 2010. According to Democracy Wise, the race came down to less than 1,000 votes.

Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner calls him Stirpe "comeback kid."
