Lines are expected outside Syracuse's River of Life Church again next Saturday, for the annual turkey giveaway.
In what has become a pre-Thanksgiving tradition, River of Life Church, on Syracuse's James Street, plans another turkey giveaway, the Saturday before the holiday.
Don Page,outreach coodinator for the church, says they'll give away 500 turkeys, first come, first served. A few years ago they tried for 1,000 but moved the event out of the church, and felt it lost some of the 'thankfulness' that church members wanted to see.
The turkey giveaway is set for Saturday, November17th. If you'd like to contribute to the effort, get in touch at www.syracuseriver.org.
