SYRACUSE -- A futuristic energy exhibit truck made a tour stop at the Syracuse University campus Tuesday to showcase advanced technology for electricity generation.

Student's were able to check out GE's FlexEfficiency 60 Truck demonstrating GE's most advanced natural gas-fired power generation technology. The truck was loaded with interactive state-of-the-art displays and 3D models. GE hopes the event will provide a gateway for use of more renewable energy, including wind and solar.

The company used the tour as part of talent recruitment for SU students. As part of a partnership with the University, they had technical experts and engineers on hand to talk to students about their jobs.

The stop is part of a 25-city National Tour. GE said that the technology would be an excellent fit for New York State's long-range energy plans.
