UTICA (AP) -- 30-year-old Craig Ingersoll was convicted of killing 29-year-old Jennifer Bennett whose body was found behind a central New York fire station.

The Utica Observer-Dispatch reports that a jury in Utica found Ingersoll guilty of second-degree murder for the January 2007 slaying of Bennett.

Prosecutors said Ingersoll strangled her after paying her for sex and then dumped her body at the Deerfield Fire Department outside the city.

Her snow-covered body was found by a group of people sledding behind the firehouse.

The jury deliberated for 90 minutes after hearing three days of testimony.
