WATERLOO (AP) -- Police are investigating a collision between an ambulance and a minibus in the Finger Lakes that sent five people to hospitals.

Waterloo Police tell local media outlets both were traveling in the same direction when the crash happened at about 2 p.m. Tuesday.

They say a patient and three crew members from the North Seneca ambulance, which knocked down a utility pole, and the driver of the bus were taken to hospitals. There were no passengers on the bus.

Few details about the accident had been released as of Tuesday evening and none of the names of people involved, or their conditions, were available.

Waterloo is 42 miles southeast of Rochester.
