FORT DRUM (AP) -- Hundreds of Christmas trees are being delivered to soldiers and families at Fort Drum in northern New York.

Officials at the Army post outside Watertown say about 600 trees will be delivered Thursday morning to the headquarters of the 10th Mountain Division for distribution to soldiers and their families.

The holiday gift is part of the national Trees for Troops program that's delivering 18,000 farm-grown Christmas trees to dozens of military bases across the United States.
