SALINA -- Onondaga County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a crash that happened at 10:44pm December 28th at the intersection of Route 11 and South Bay Road in the Town of Salina.

Deputies say an SUV driven by 22-year-old Eric Mark Horvitz of Kent, Washington ran through the red light and was t-boned by a marked Onondaga county sheriff’s patrol vehicle.

Sergeant Sharon McDonald was taken St. Joseph’s Hospital with injuries to her leg and hand.

Horvitz was not injured in the crash, but was given a ticket for passing a red signal light.
