Good weather allowed construction speed-up

The work weekend is wrapping up for DOT construction crews, almost a full day ahead of schedule. 81 North was shut down for bridge deck repairs near the 690 interchange in downtown Syracuse on Friday night. 81 is already reopened, and the last of the ramp lane closures should be done by Sunday afternoon.
DOT spokesman Gene Cilento says good weather allowed construction crews to get the work done, ahead of the planned Monday morning reopening.
