SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse man was shot through his door at his residence on E. Fayette Street on Sunday night.

Syracuse Police say at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday a 62-year-old man heard a knock at the door at his residence on 1614 East Fayette Street. When he asked who it was, the person replied, but the man would not open the door because he did not know the person. The suspect proceeded to fire two shots through the door, striking the man on his left hand. The man was transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to contact Syracuse Police at 442-5222.
