CAMILLUS -- From Christmas greenery to mulch for your garden.

If you don't know what to do with your Christmas tree, the Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency will take it away for free, to be recycled.

It will take the shrubbery and make it into mulch, for you to use this spring.

OCRRA invites all neighbors, commercial haulers and municipalities to bring their trees to its facilities this month.

It only asks you remove all of the decorations, lights, and tree stands.

Just bring the tree.

"The tree is 100 percent recyclable. We take and grind it, and that's used around shrubs, trees, around your flower garden. Just around your yard and beautify it," says Thomas J. Furgeson, Compost Site Operator with OCRRA.

You can bring your tree to OCRRA's Amboy Compost site, on Airport Road in Camillus.

You may also bring them to another site on Route 91, across from the reservoir in Jamesville.

Stop by between 9 a.m. And 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. To noon on Saturdays.
