OSWEGO -- Oswego Schools Superintendent Bill Crist announced his resignation at Monday's board of education meeting, citing a lengthy impasse in a contract negotiation with the school board, according to Oswego County Today.

He said that it took a couple of months to come to a final decision but he will retire at the end of the current school year.

Crist, who is a 1976 graduate of Oswego High School, was named superintendent in December of 2008.  He has been employed by the school district  for more than thirty years.
