ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY -- The Gouverneur Police Department says a 46-year-old man was found lying on the side of Johnstown Street, near Mills Park in St. Lawrence County, by a passing driver.

Police say the man was alert and had facial injuries and soreness to his right leg and hip.

The evidence at the scene showed it was a hit and run, possibly by a Chevrolet Impala, according to police.

The car will have damage to the passenger side headlight and side mirror.

Anyone with information is asked to call Gouverneur Police at (315) 287-2121.
