Traffic on 81 north through Syracuse was held up this evening when a car crashed into a light pole on the highway.  Syracuse police, fire and Rural Metro ambulance responded to the call of a crash on I-81 north through downtown Syracuse just after 9:00 p.m.

It is not known how many people are involved or whether they are injured.  The Onondaga County 911 Communications Center reports the call went out as a motor vehicle crash with injuries.

CNYCentral has a crew on the way to the scene.
