Illegally parked car nets four arrests and nearly a pound of crack cocaine in Syracuse

SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police found a large amount of crack cocaine during a traffic stop on the 500 block of Richmond Avenue at 1:40am on Saturday, January 25th.

Police say they saw a 2003 Lincoln Navigator illegally parked, and when they approached the vehicle they saw four men inside and could smell a strong marijuana odor.

Upon investigating, police found roughly one pound of crack cocaine and a loaded 9mm semi-automatic pistol. Police say the crack cocaine has a street value of about $40,000.

Police arrested 34-year-old Sadiyq Isaac of 416 Rowland St. in Syracuse, 29-year-old James Caesar of 715 Spring St. in Syracuse, 25-year-old Tony Brown of 1030 Danforth St. in Syracuse and 28-year-old Jamiah Bowens of 85 Evergreen Circle in Liverpool. 

All four men were charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon. Isaac and Bowens were also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
