SYRACUSE -- The Syracuse men’s basketball team takes their perfect Big East record on the road to Philadelphia to face a feisty Villanova Wildcats team who is fresh off a victory over then-number 5 Louisville.

The Orange are continuing in a brutal stretch of their schedule, which has pitted them against then-number 1 Louisville and the 21st-ranked Cincinnati Bearcats, and continues today in Philly.

In the two weeks since the last time they saw the Wildcats, the Orange have won their games in nail-biting fashion, taking both games by just two points. James Southerland continues to sit with eligibility issues, which has allowed for the emergence of an aggressive Jerami Grant as a solid contributor to the Orange on both ends of the floor.

With a win today, the Orange will most likely rise in the national rankings, taking advantage of a huge Duke loss to Miami earlier this week.

The game tips at 11am on ESPNU. Check with us on Facebook and Twitter for updates throughout the game.
