There will be sun and clouds in the Central New York area and the temperatures will be above average, reaching the low 40s. However,  it will be a breezy day and will feel colder than it actually is.

Snow showers will start forming east of Lake Ontario on Friday night and will move towards the Route 31 corridor by Saturday morning.

The worst of the system is expected to miss the Syracuse area.  Areas north of Syracuse could see 1 to 3 inches while higher elevations-like the Tug Hill area-could see 2 to 6 inches of snow by Saturday.
