Syracuse fire sends two to hospital

SYRACUSE -- Onondaga County 911 tells CNY Central that two people have been transported to the hospital due to a fire at a residence on 116 Whittier Avenue in Syracuse early Wednesday morning.

The call came in at about 2:44 AM.  There was a report of smoke coming from the third floor of the residence and of people being trapped inside.

There is no word on the condition of the two people who were transported.

911 also tells CNY Central that crews have the fire out and the situation is under control.
