Voters in theFayetteville-Manlius School District gave the go ahead tonight to a $10.5 million dollars in capital improvements to buildings throughout the district. The highest profile expense is the $217,000 purchase of new bleachers for the recently renovated turf athletic field.

The majority of the money will go toward roofing projects at Eagle Hill Middle School, Enders Road, F-M High School and Mott Road Elementary School.

The vote of 727-194was overwhelmingly in favor of the capital projects.

Superintendent Corliss Kaiser says State building aid will pay for nearly 80 percent of the costs. The rest will come from the district's capital reserve fund.
