MANLIUS -- Voters in Manlius have fired their Mayor.

In Tuesday's village elections the final total was 869 votes for challenger Paul Whorall, 198 for current Mayor Mark-Paul Serafin. In 2010, Serafin was in some legal trouble related to accusations he was stealing recyclables.

In East Syracuse the voting results were much closer in the race for Mayor. At the end of Tuesday's voting Robert Tackman won with 212 votes. Lorene Dadey had 202 votes.
