CICERO -- The Cicero Police are investigating vandalism done to the home of  the mother of the man accused of murdering Lori Bresnahan and raping a ten year old girl last week.   Cicero Police Chief Joseph Snell said Kathleen Renz called in a report of damage that took place over the weekend.

Police responded and discovered damaged down spouts of gutters, flower pots turned over and vandalism to the outdoor air conditioning units.   Kathleen Renz also said the lock to her rear sliding door had been dislodged.

Chief Snell said officers canvassed the neighborhood, but did not find anyone who saw the vandals.    Cicero police cars have been patrolling the Lakeshore Road area more frequently since David Renz was accused of the violent crimes last week.  Kathleen Renz has not asked the department to provide any additional protection.
