SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse shoemaker wants to make sure other feet are happy and warm this holiday season.

As one of the remaining cobblers in our area, Ralph Rotella owns Discount Shoe Repair in downtown Syracuse.

Rotella spent the year collecting shoes in disrepair, all donated by customers.

He fixed them, and brought them to the Rescue Mission.

In all, he assembled more than 1,000 pairs to give to neighbors in need.

This is the third year Rotella has held the shoe drive.
