BELLEVILLE -- People who live in and around Adams, NY will gather Thursday evening at the Belleville Henderson Central School, on County Rt. 75, to welcome home the Tucker twins.

Allison and Amelia Tucker were conjoined at birth but separated by surgeons on November 7.

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia performed the surgery and introduced Allison and Amelia to the public on December 20. Allison was released from the hospital that day, but Amelia needed more time to recuperate. Amelia was released from CHOP today and is on her way with her parents back home.

Shellie’s Tucker’s High School friend Devon Shelmidine and others are planning the welcome home parade. They will gather at the circle in front of Belleville Henderson Central School before 5:00 p.m.

Around 5:00 p.m., the Tuckers, with Amelia, will arrive along with fire trucks and other vehicles. They will drive around the circle at Belleville Henderson Central School, down Route 75, and on to Route 289 to the edge of town, near the back entrance of the school. Then, the Tuckers will drive to their home.
