ONONDAGA COUNTY -- The Chief of the Marcellus Police Department resigned today after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor count. He was charged with official misconduct.

David Wilkinson has been on paid leave after being accused of doctoring his time sheets, both in the Marcellus Police Department and the North Syracuse Police Department. Those incidents allegedly occurred from 2000 through 2006.

Two other officers, Michael Casey and Daniel Keefe were also accused of fraudulently obtaining wages they had not earned.
