NEW YORK -- The New York State Attorney General's office says they have reached an agreement with Target over canceled Internet orders for car seats. The Attorney General's office received several complaint from shoppers who had placed online orders for two models of Britax car seats and later received emails from the company saying the order had been canceled. Target told the Attorney General's office the problem was the result of a computer malfunction with listed an incorrect price on Target.com. In all, 2,000 New Yorkers were affected by the mix-up.

Wednesday the Attorney General's office said "Companies such as Target are not expected to be perfect, and we found no reason to believe that the error was either intentional or designed to mislead."

To make up for the inconvenience to the customers who placed orders for the car seats, Target will provide $25 gift cards which can be used on the company's web site.
