It's the height of Christmas tree shopping, and Hafner's in North Syracuse was packed Saturday with people looking for the perfect tree. Owner Chuck Hafner says business has been steady since the day after Thanksgiving, which was a pleasant surprise because "we were a little nervous anticipating what was going to happen with the economy. We kept the trees basically the same price, a few even a little less and the people are out buying trees."
Hafner says trees bought now should last through Christmas and then some. He says trees shouldn't loose their needles for three or four weeks, as long as they're watered properly.
