A fourth robbery has been reported at Turnpike Plaza in Syracuse.
There's new information as Syracuse Police investigate a string of robberies at a shopping plaza in the valley. The latest one happened Saturday night around 10:30. Police say a man pulled a gun on two workers outside the Dollar Tree Store on West Seneca Turnpike.
"A male suspect approached two employees as they were leaving the store," Syracuse Police Sgt. Tom Connellan said. "The actual robbery took place right at the door to the store. The suspect was armed with a handgun, he did have a mask on."
Police say the man took off on foot with cash and some property. It's the latest robbery they are investigating at this location.
"We have had a pattern of robberies at this particular plaza. This will be the fourth in about a month's time. We had two purse snatch type robberies and then another robbery at the same store that got robbed last night," Sgt. Connellan said.
Police have stepped up patrols in the area. Police say they don't know if the robberies are related to the downturn in the economy. Anyone with information is asked to call Syracuse Police.
