The Oneida City School District is closing one elementary school. The Board of Education voted unanimously Monday night to close Sylvan-Verona Beach Elementary School. The superintendent says according to his predictions, the school will have about 30 students in six years.
Some parents Action News spoke with say they're upset about the decision. They say the school is a community school and they don't want to see it close.
The school will shut down after this school year.
