Police issue parking warnings

Syracuse Police have issued the following advisory if you're going to Saturday's noon game at the Carrier Dome:
The Syracuse Police Department would like to remind SU basketball fans attending the SU vs. Notre Dame game on Saturday, January 17th, that this is a big game, with possibly the largest attendance of the season, therefore:
Fans should plan on leaving earlier than usual and expect delays.
Know in advance where you're going to park. If you don't have a permit for one of the surface lots by the DOME don't drive there. All the surface lots by the DOME are permit parking only. To avoid lengthy delays before and after the game use the Manley parking complex and take the shuttle bus to the DOME.
If you park on the streets near the DOME, make sure that you're parked legally. Illegally parked vehicles WILL BE TICKETED and can be TOWED. Parking tickets start at $25 (plus State surcharges) and increase depending on the violation. Towing fees begin at $115.00.
