CLARENCE (AP) -- Residents evacuated from the site where a plane crashed on its approach to Buffalo are to return Tuesday, two days later than originally scheduled.

David Bissonette, town of Clarence disaster coordinator, says there were weather-related delays in cleaning up the site. The biggest obstacle has been frost, which has caused problems, and delays, in removing soil.

The Continental Connection turboprop plane was about six miles from Buffalo Niagara International Airport on the night of Feb. 12 when it pitched sharply up and down and side to side before smashing into a home in the suburb of Clarence and bursting into flames. All 49 people on board and a man in the house were killed.
