Samantha Reynolds, killed in South Carolina accident
The man accused of causing a crash that killed a Liverpool teenager is scheduled to be in court today. It's been almost a year since 14-year-old Samantha Reynolds died in a crash in South Carolina. The Reynolds family was on their way to Disney World for a family vacation. The trip ended in tragedy when the family's van was hit head-on on a highway by a man police say was driving drunk.
In that accident, Samantha Reynolds was killed and her step mother Brenda was seriously injured. Police say Raphael Gonzalez Martinez is responsible, and he is scheduled to be in court later today. Last month, the Reynolds family was notified by officials in South Carolina that Martinez will strike a deal and plead guilty to all charges.
