EAST SYRACUSE -- Good news for the Central New York economy. Sensis Corporation received a $5 million dollar grant to put toward its headquarters expansion in East Syracuse.   Sensis hopes the expansion will keep the hundreds of jobs currently at the company and add 300 more.

Sensis is a global provider of defense and aerospace electronics that was founded in 1985.   Sensis Corporation President and CEO Jud Gostin said: “Sensis has always been deeply committed to Central New York; the chosen home of 600 of our employees and their families. By enabling us to expand our facilities here as required to accommodate our anticipated future growth, this capital grant makes it easy for us to maintain that deep commitment. We appreciate the State’s confidence in us and intend to continue to justify it.”

The project will add 30,000 square feet to its current facility and consolidate its operations in the  Collamer Crossings Business Park.
