AUBURN -- Funeral services are scheduled for today at St. Mary's church in Auburn for PFC Patrick Devoe II, who was killed last week in Afghanistan. The 27-year-old father of one had been deployed to Afghanistan just about a month ago. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30am.  The funeral procession will leave the church around 11:30 and proceed south on NYS Route 34 (south street)  passing city hall before proceeding to St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Auburn Mayor Michael Quill says he and city employees will be on the steps of city hall as the procession passes and urges residents to line the street to show support and appreciation to the DeVoe family. He says  the city will ring the bell on city hall as the funeral procession passes to honor Patrick DeVoe.
