Brewerton Fire Chief involved in crash

CICERO -- A Brewerton Fire Department vehicle, driven by the fire chief, was involved in a crash on Bartell Road Friday afternoon. Cicero Police say the fire chief rear-ended a car that was stopped and turning left into the post office.

Police say three people suffered minor injuries. The fire chief had arm and stomach injuries from the air bag deployment. A woman and a child were in the other car. The child suffered a minor head injury. All three were taken to the hospital.

Cicero Police say the cause of the accident is still under investigation. Officers are talking to witnesses.
