Called the 'Westminster of Cow Shows'
GEDDES -- One of the country's big dairy shows comes to the New York State Fairgrounds this coming week.
One of the organizers, Patsy Gifford, says that what the Westminster Kennel Club is to dog shows, the Spring Dairy Carousel is to dairy breeders. 200+ cows will be exhibited, representing 20 states and two Canadian provinces.
The show starts on Wednesday and runs through Saturday, and Gifford says non-dairy people are invited to watch the competition. Entry and parking are free.
