SYRACUSE -- Governor Paterson made a late afternoon stop in North Syracuse to talk about federal stimulus money that will help maintain, repair and rebuild area roads and bridges.
While the governor is being criticized for wanting to cut thousands of state union jobs, he was in the Syracuse area announcing 'job saving' stimulus projects. Late this afternoon, he stopped at the DOT garage in North Syracuse, to talk about $82 million in economic stimulus work. Roads and bridges across the region will be maintained, repaired and rebuilt with the money.
The construction projects will put some 1900 people to work.
