VATICAN -- This afternoon...Pope Benedict observed Good Friday with a service at the Vatican.
Christians believe that Good Friday was the day Jesus was crucified before His resurrection on Easter.
The Pope led the solemn service at St.Peter's Basilica.
The Pontiff, also, took part in the "Way of the Cross" procession at Rome's ancient Coliseum.
