MONTAGUE, LEWIS COUNTY -- A 71 year old man is dead after an ATV accident in Lewis County. The Lewis County Sheriff's Office says Howard Kirk of Lee Center was operating an ATV in a swampy area in the Town of Montague when the vehicle overturned, pinning him underneath it. Kirk's son was able to free him, but when rescue crews arrived they were unable to revive him. Kirk was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy to determine the exact cause of death is schedule for Monday.
