HANCOCK FIELD -- Before CC Sabathia hurls his first fastball at the new Yankee Stadium this Thursday, there will be some high heat at the new ballpark courtesy of the 174th Fighter Wing of the New York Air National Guard. Three of the Syracuse-based units F-16 fighters will perform a flyover at the new stadium.
The Yankees hold their home opener Thursday afternoon at the new 1.3 billion dollar park located next to the old stadium in the Bronx.
