SYRACUSE -- The race for Mayor of Syracuse has gained another candidate. Steve Kimatian announced Thursday morning that he intends to run for the office.

Kimatian was the regional vice president for Clear Channel Television for twelve years. During that time he was in charge of WSYR Channel 9 in Syracuse.

The only other Republican in the race so far is Otis Jennings.

On the Democratic side, Stephanie Miner, Joe Nicoletti, and Alphonso Davis have all announced their candidacies.

Term limits prohibit incumbent Mayor Matt Driscoll from running for another term.
