Water quality, invasive species & summer jobs

NY SeaGrant is the coordinating point for several research grants on the Great Lakes watershed.  Dave White, with NY SeaGrant, says several of the ongoing projects enhance water-related tourism in the area, others are researching invasive species that affect the health of  native fishes and water quality.  White says the grants have funds to hire students--primarily biology majors--as research help, and also for summer jobs as Dune Stewards along the eastern shores of Lake Ontario.
