SYRACUSE -- An Onondaga County Grand Jury Thursday handed up an indictment accusing a Baldwinsville man of attempted kidnapping.
47-year-old Randall J. Boyer was arrested in March when an off-duty Onondaga County Sheriff's Office detective spotted him approaching two boys walking along West Onondaga Street in Syracuse. When the deputy questioned the nine- and ten-year-old boys, the children told the investigator they did not know Randall, that he offered them a ride, and tried to get them to get in his car. The detective then turned his car arround and chased after Boyer, pulling him over a short distance down the road.
Randall was indicted for attempted kidnapping in the second degree, luring a child, stalking in the third degree, and endangering the welfare of a child.
