SYRACUSE (AP) -- Officials at Syracuse University's law school are limiting bathroom breaks during final exams after getting reports of cheating by first-year students.
According to an e-mail sent by three deans to first-year students in the College of Law, students will be allowed to use the restroom only once during an exam. The move comes after the deans said they received reports of students using cell phones and looking at notes in the bathrooms while exams were in progress.
The dean's e-mail also said some students had been accused of changing answers after the exams by logging into the exam software program.
One of the deans, Tomas Gonzalez, declined discuss the details addressed in the e-mail.
