Get ideas if you're remodeling
It's a tour with a purpose: a look at functioning kitchens in real-life houses in Syracuse's University area. Rae Kramer, from the Westcott Community Center, helps organize the annual event (it's their third), and says it appeals to people who are thinking of remodeling and want som practical approaches. Owners are generally on hand to talk to tour takers. Kramers says it's also a great way to just see inside some homes. The self-guided tours run through the afternoon, and start at the Westcott Community Center (Euclid Ave at Westcott)--it's a fundraiser to support the Center's arts and community programs.
