ALTAMONT, NY -- An upstate New York community is hosting a 100th birthday party for the oldest living recipient of the Medal of Honor.  Retired Navy officer John Finn of Pine Valley, Calif. was awarded the nation's highest award for military valor for his actions during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

He's being joined this weekend outside Albany by two other Medal of Honor recipients, 83-year-old Francis Currey of nearby Selkirk and 92-year-old Nicholas Oresko of Cresskill, N.J. Former Army infantrymen Currey and Oresko also earned their medals during World War II. Each were honored for their bravery while fighting the Germans.  Finn's birthday 100th birthday is in July, but Altamont is throwing him a party Sunday, a day after the original date of Memorial Day.
